Carbon has special requirements in mechanical engineering because the material is both abrasive and electrically conductive. MEYER develops specially adapted technologies for this purpose that enable safe and efficient processing.

Key solutions include innovative powder dispensers combined with high-performance infrared heating elements. This combination results in standalone machines that reliably support precise processes such as laminating and powder application.

Applications range from tempering and sintering UD/MD fabrics to coating UD tapes and thermal consolidation. In addition, the machines enable the bonding of individual UD tapes into large-area sheets, as well as the production of UD and MD tapes with different grain orientations.
