From manual work to high-tech.

Our journey began with a small workshop and a big dream: finding solutions with machines and developing the best machines for our customers. Through continuous research and development, we are now one of the leading suppliers in the industry.

1949

Foundation

Herbert Meyer founds a machine and apparatus construction company in the center of Munich.

1949

Production

Together with his wife Elisabeth Meyer, he manufactures fusing presses and dough rollers for bakeries.

1960

Settlement in Munich Perlach

Herbert Meyer builds a production hall with a residential building and creates a home for his family after 20 years of hard work.

1968

Plant II in Rötz

Meyer buys the bankrupt agricultural machinery company Teupenia and names the site Plant II Rötz.

1970

First continuous fusing machine

MEYER develops the first continuous fusing machine.

1972

Expansion of the management team

Werner Meyer, Herbert’s son, joins the management team.

1973

First thermal printing machine

Not only are the halls growing – the machines are also getting bigger. MEYER produces the first thermal printing machine

1974

Award

Herbert Meyer is awarded the Golden Citizens’ Medal of the town of Rötz by the mayor in 1974.

1976

Expansion

Maschinenfabrik MEYER develops further products and builds a third hall in Rötz for this purpose.

1982

First laminating line from MEYER

In 1982, the first laminating line is produced by Meyer.

1987

First forming system from MEYER

The first forming system for car carpets is produced.

1990

Further halls in Rötz

Maschinenfabrik Herbert MEYER GmbH invests more and more in the Rötz site and builds additional halls.

1992

Herbert-Meyer-Straße

The Rötz road network is given a “Herbert-Meyer-Straße”.

1997

Expansion of the management team

Thomas C. Meyer, son of Werner Meyer, joins the management team and runs the company to this day.

2008

Dr. Günther Beckstein

The Bavarian Minister President Dr. Günther Beckstein visits the MEYER company.

2012

Groundbreaking ceremony for the new office building

Construction of the new office building in Rötz begins with a ground-breaking ceremony.

2013

New buildings in Rötz

In addition to a new office building, an assembly hall is built and put into operation.

2014

65th anniversary celebration

Meyer celebrates its 65th anniversary with an open day.
