A conveyor belt moves the substrate under a powder scattering head. Here it meets a specially coated roller with a scraper plate, which removes excess powder. Oscillating brushes and sieves distribute it evenly and lump-free onto the material lane. The powder quantity and spreading width can be precisely adjusted.
We will find the right adhesive for your application.
Ideal for the high-precision application of powder materials such as adhesives or epoxy resins
The powder scattering machine technology distributes fine powder evenly on surfaces. It enables precise dosing of the powder, which secures optimum adhesion and coating quality. This method is ideal for functional coatings that are activated in further processing steps.
Ideal for the application of granules & fibers
Granules and fibers can also be treated during granule spreading. Both processes require adaptation of the technology to the respective material. At the Test Center, we discuss your application and plan the implementation together.
Ideal for the production of glass mats
In roving cutting, a cutting mechanism cuts the glass fiber rovings to a defined length. They are then spread evenly onto the conveyor belt, where a powder scattering machine sprinkles them with adhesive powder. The actual mat is then created in the laminating system by melting the powder.
Ideal for applying and fusing thermoplastic adhesives to fiber materials
During coating, thermoplastic adhesives or epoxy resins are applied to fiber materials with a powder scattering machine and fused using infrared heat. This process ensures correct powder fusion and stabilizes the fibers for further processing steps.
Find out how our laminating machines help companies in various industries to succeed every day.
MEYER scattering machines can handle a wide range of materials: from thermoplastic powders to activated carbon and fillers. They apply these precisely to textiles, films, leather, sheet metal and other web-shaped materials.
The challenge in the production of activated carbon filters is the combination of several scattering machines or their arrangement in the system layout. MEYER offers a wide range of modular concepts to meet filter designs and purposes.
For this application, fiber materials are equipped with a thermoplastic matrix, whereby the flow behavior of the adhesive is precisely adjusted to optimally enclose the fibers. MEYER develops laminating machines that can produce the necessary surface and linear pressure to meet these requirements.
Carbon poses a number of challenges in mechanical engineering as it is abrasive and electrically conductive. MEYER has developed innovative solutions, including powder scattering machines that are combined with infrared heating fields to create stand-alone machines.
In classic carpet coating, thermoplastic powder is applied to the back of the carpet in a high grammage, whereby the powder composition varies. The powder is then melted and recooled using a calender or flatbed system to complete the coating process.
Our laminating systems enable the production of glass mats for a wide range of applications. Glass rovings are cut to a defined length using a roving cutter and distributed onto carrier material in a specified grammage. After the application of thermoplastic adhesive powder, the material is fed into the laminating process, where carrier-free glass mats can also be produced.
