During fusing, textiles are combined with each other using targeted heat and pressure. This process is particularly suitable for permanently joining thin and flexible materials, for example in the textile and clothing industry when fusing interlinings.
Laminating involves permanently combining several layers of material using mainly thermoplastic adhesives or thermal processes. Depending on the application, adhesives, heat and pressure can be combined to achieve optimum adhesion and the desired material properties.
When scattering, powders, granules or fibers are applied to a surface to create an even layer and make materials adhere better.
During pressing, materials are molded or compounded under high pressure and often under heat, resulting in a stable and strong structure.
